For as long as I can remember, my mother has been telling me “You should write a book.” That’s too big a project for me. This blog is a way to tell small stories, focused on tangible things, that hopefully will add up to a bigger story.
My mom died in 2003, but she left the starting point for this blog in the little notes she left scattered all over our house, notes that linked specific objects to moments in our family’s history. I’ll be doing the same for the things we took from her house and the things that I keep in mine. In other words, it’s a blog about clutter. But only about the good clutter.
